Review #110 | /r/Scotch Review #42 -Signatory Vintage Bunnahabhain 2005 10yr

The Schtick: This is a 10 year IB from Bunnahabhain that is bottled at cask strength and matured full term in a first fill sherry butt.

Vintage: 2005

Region: Islay

Aged: 10 Years

Distilled: 09.03.2005

Bottled: 13.03.2015

Maturation: 1st Fill Sherry Butt

Cask #: 579

Bottle #: 281 of 546

Pick: Binny’s

ABV: 57.8%

Nose: Sweet sherry and the maritime air. Molasses, Turkish delight and figs. Grapes, raisins, dates and moderate peat.

Taste: Sweet sherry, fruity and nutty with lots of salted toffee.

Finish: Long and deeply complex. Everything from the nose and palate carry into the finish and just stick around.

Overall: I’m beyond impressed and this is an easy favorite for me from the three. There’s just so much going on in this dram. I’d buy again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for reading!
