The Schtick: This is the sixth iteration of High Wests annual blend of straight ryes finished in port barrels. Let’s see how it is.

ABV: 49.3% ABV

Age: NAS

Nose: Clove, apples, blackberry, molasses. Toffee, pepper. Allspice. Faintly malty.

Taste: Clove, allspice. Copper penny and rye spice, raspberry and blackberry. Toffee, faint pepper.

Finish: Long and sweet, faintly malty. Lots of pepper, clove, and fruity port notes.

Overall: Markedly better than Act 5, but not as good as Acts 1 and 3.
