The Schtick: Using blue agave of 7-8 years of age, Fortaleza Anejo spends 23 months aging in barrels. Let’s see how it is.
ABV: 40% ABV
Age: 23 Months
Nose: Spearmint, bell peppers, cream cheese frosting. Light vanilla, some pepper.
Taste: Medium mouth feel. Lots of honey, light agave. Pepper, faint clay, lots more pepper, string beans, spearmint.
Finish: Short but clean. Nice oak presence. More spearmint, oak and some pepper.
Overall: I like this but wish I opted for the blanco or reposado. Ill try those next. That said, big fan.
