Distiller: Boston Harbor
Bottler: Boston Harbor
Brand: Boston Harbor
ABV: 46% ABV
Nose: In your face, with lots of apple, funk and pear. Bright, effervescent. Lightly minty.
Taste: Thin to medium mouth feel, some heat at first that dies off pretty quick. This is sorta weird – lightly musty. Some bread, caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. Very fruity for what I think is very clearly going to end up to be a young bourbon.
Finish: Short, without a lot of character, but none of it bad. Apples, honey, toffee, cinnamon and faint oak.
Overall: I have to imagine this is a younger bourbon, although it doesnt suffer from many things in young bourbons that I try. Surely he couldn’t have sent me all brandies, as this is very young brandy like as well, but I think it’s a bourbon, likely craft, around the 4 year mark, and 40% ABV.
