Review #317. Ardbeg Perpetuum

Review #317 – Ardbeg Perpetuum

Whiskey Network Review #317 | /r/Scotch Review #132 – Ardbeg Perpetuum, 94.8pf | 47.4% ABV

Distiller: Ardbeg

The Rub: I wish I knew. Ardbeg says this release represents their “past, present and future”…whatever that means.

ABV: 47.4% | 94.8 pf

Nose: Ashy ardbeg peat smoke. Vanilla cream, lemon poppyseed, dough, zest and pepper and salt

Taste: Meaty, creamy, sweet and peppery. Citrus. Ashy. Very meaty for an Ardneg expression.

Finish: Long, more Briney, peppery, ashy, meaty thae sweet and fruity like the nose

Overall: This is pretty good. Distinctive and fairly different from regular Ardbeg but I’m not sure I”d pay what they’re asking on this puppy. It’s unique but not life changing.

Rank: 6

2 | Poor | I wouldn’t consume by choice.

6 | Very Good | A cut above.
7 | Great | Well above average
8 | Excellent | Really quite exceptional.
9 | Incredible | An all time favorite

10 | Insurpassable | No better exists
