Review #345. Willett 3yr Rye SmB

Review #345 – Willett 3yr Rye SmB 111.2pf

Whiskey Network Review #345 | /r/Bourbon Review #190 – Willett 3yr Small Batch CS Rye (Willett Distillate), 111.2pf | 55.6% ABV

Distiller: Willett

Age: 3 Years

ABV: 55.6% abv | 111.2PF

Source: Bottle, Purchased

Nose: Huge molasses, honey, vanilla, light fruity honeydew and cantaloupe, faint clove wet cardboard

Taste: Sweet cream, clove, molasses, brown sugar, bright and fruity

Finish: Long, impressively complex. Seeet and funky, mild “green” ness

Overall: For $50ish, this is a hell of a dram and a huge warm hug to my heart that Willett distillate is headed in the right direction. This is, in my opinion, significantly better than the 2yr. Air has done it TONS of good, so take that into accout when you first open a bottle if you have one. I’m going to give this a Rank 6. It’s well on it’s way to becoming a really great dram.

Thanks for reading!

Rank: 6
