Review #516. Old Pulteney 17

Review #516 | /r/Scotch Review #184 – Old Pulteney 17

The Schtick: Old Pulteney 17 is a well aged member of Old Pulteney’s age stated core line of products.

Distiller: Old Pulteney

Bottler: Old Pulteney

ABV: 46%

Age: 17 Years

Source: Sample

Nose: Melon, honey, brine, yeasty bakery sweets

Taste: Medium / thin. No heat. Sweet honey, brine, faint smoke, sweet and briney

Finish: Long, mild heat. Sweet honey, char, brine and lemon zest

Overall: More gentle/boring than the 12 but also more refined. Not phenomenal though, still.

Thanks for reading!
