Review #646 | /r/Scotch Review #221 – Glengoyne 15yr
The Schtick: This is a 15 year release from Glengoyne, as a part of their core product range.
ABV: 43% ABV
Age: 15 Years
Nose: Honey, lemon tart, fresh baked bread. Vanilla, faint caramel, some light pepper.
Taste: Medium mouthfeel, no real heat. Sweet vanilla, light white pepper, bready and cake-y. Some lemon meringue, very desserty. Sherry influence is light. Lots of butter cream.
Finish: Medium length, but sweet with some nice vanilla character. Not really complex.
Overall: This is a good, no nonsense dram. It’s easy sipping, not terribly complex, and doesn’t have any big flaws.
Thanks for reading!
