Review #686 | /r/Scotch Review #235 – Bruichladdich 25yr, Cadenheads 175th Anniversary Bottling
The Schtick: This is a bottling of 25yr Bruichladdich spirit by Cadenheads, released for their 175th Anniversary collection.
Sorry for the low res image – Binny’s image hosting sucks.
ABV: 54% ABV
Age: 25 Years
Nose: Rich honey, doughnuts, butter cream. Faint salinity, caramel and oak. Just unbelievably rich. Faint smoke, faint floral fruits, all sweet cream.
Taste: Thick, oily, rich. No heat. Butter cream, lemon zest, faint lactic bbq. Nice salinity and pepper. Super rich and loaded with dessert notes.
Finish: Increasingly smoky with time, nice floral fruits. Pepper, salt, caramel. Big rich vanilla exit.
Overall: Wow. This is really incredible. The richness is off the charts, and I could sit and drink this all day. The butter cream and the blend of salt, pepper and faint floral fruits made it delightful.
