Review #701 – Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, The Wine and Cheese Place Selection, #2082

Review #701 | /r/Bourbon Review #397 – WIld Turkey Kentucky Spirit, The Wine and Cheese Place Selection, #2082

The Schtick: This was another mystery sample. I have filled in the pertinent info after reveal so it is available here to read.

Distiller: Wild Turkey

Bottler: Wild Turkey

ABV: 50.5%

Age: NAS

Additional Info: Barrel #2082, Rich 6, Warehouse T, Bottled 2015

Source: Sample

Nose: Rich sticky toffee, clove, vanilla and pepper. Slightly fruity, loaded with spice.

Taste: Medium mouth feel, some heat, lots of spice. Clove, pepper, all spice and a good deal of heat and tobacco.

Finish: Medium length, lots of clove and spice.

Guess / Overall: This really reminds me a lot of Colonel EH Taylor Straight Rye. I’m going to guess CEHT since there was a bit of heat and it had a lot of spice character.

Reveal: Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, The Wine and Cheese Place Selection. Dammit. I pretty much nailed the proof but…that’s about it.

Thanks for reading!
