The Schtick: This is a Springbank release made using barley that is made in the region near Springbank, rather than being sourced externally.

Nose: Buttered toast, doughnuts, caramel, vanilla, oak, lemon. Rich, bready and sweet.

Taste: Thick and rich mouth feel, nice smoke presence. The smoke here is burning wood and faintly ashy. Not at all vegetal. Lemon bread, sweet cream. Really complex and really nice blend of flavors going on here.

Finish: Long, smoldering and grows smokier. Sweet cream, faint rubber, ashy wood and a nice vanilla component.

Overall: This is really quite good. Very complex and has a great progression from beginning to end.

Thanks for reading!
