Review #933 – Black Friar Distillery: Plymouth Gin

Review #933 | Gin Review #6 – Black Friar Distillery Plymouth Gin

The Schtick: A gin distilled using a blend of seven exotic botanicals, water sourced from Dartmoor and grains.

Distiller: Black Friar Distillery (Plymouth)

Bottler: Black Friar Distillery (Plymouth)

ABV: 41.2% ABV

Nose: Juniper, soft floral notes, vanilla butter cream, faint orange peel.

Taste: Thin to medium mouth feel. Light white pepper, faint juniper, orange peel, light anise presence and some nice coriander.

Finish: Medium in length, no real heat. Lots of orange peel, butter cream, and honey.

Overall: Really light, especially on the juniper, and loaded with citrus and cream. Light, effervescent and wonderful in a gin fizz on a hot day as well.

Thanks for reading!
