Review #962 – Bulleit Bourbon

Review #962 | Bourbon Review #502 – Bulleit Bourbon

The Schtick: This is a Diageo product line that used to be contract distilled by Four Roses in KY. The new producer is undisclosed.

Distiller: Undisclosed

Bottler: Bulleit (Diageo)

ABV: 45% ABV

Age: NAS

Nose: Caramel, honey, pepper, clove, faint tobacco, light grain.

Taste: Thin to medium mouth feel. Corn, honey, young green youth notes. Light pepper, some astringency, clove, faint tobacco.

Finish: Short, hot, toffee, vanilla, pepper, faint mustiness.

Overall: This drinks like a very young bourbon, and I reckon it is. It’s harsh, thin and generally not super complex.
